How It Works
Let's say John Doe was laid off from his job on September 17, 2009. Three months prior to being laid off, John had purchased the 90 day protection plan from Sterling Utilities Plus. On October 18th 2009, John would be eligible for up to 3 months 100% utility protection. All he would have to do is follow the simple steps listed below.
1. Fill out the form of protection application that he is applying for.
2. Select which form of protection you are filling for, i.e. disability, maternity leave, death, involuntary unemployment.
3. Fax the information to 281-596-4488 along with supporting documents.
4. A representative from Sterling Utilities Plus will contact you within 24-48 hours.
The length of time it takes to process the application is dependent upon completing the entire protection application and sending in all supporting documentation. If all necessary documentation is turned in promptly, you can have a check in as little as 5 business days.
